Guatemala, October 2007 – Healthy Value Chains: Case studies, Methods and Leadership.
The companies in the Food Lab are implementing sustainability in their supply chains. During the week of October 15, the Food Lab will lead four Learning Journeys in Guatemala followed by two days of large group meetings. Many are concerned about the public health risks of the pesticides and antibiotics used in conventional food production. Some are determined to reduce the carbon footprint of their institutions. February 2007 at the Sustainable Food Lab sponsored meeting in London the Deputy Mayor of city of Amsterdam offered to host a meeting focused on sustainable food strategies for large metropolitan areas.
